Youth Taketh, Youth Giveth

Wow. So those were a couple of games. The brothers break down the start of the Pirates series, reminding us that youth is a double edged sword. They also talk about Blake Snell, but if feels like homework. In the lightning round: Did we jinx the bullpen? Which is better, framing or robo-umps? Is Late Night LaMonte a Super Hero? And, is Matthew still disappointed in Matt Chapman?

On the Cocktail Side of things Ben is drinking another Hot Toddy, but this one is different. Meanwhile Matthew is drinking a Vanilla Old Fashioned because of course he is.

Hot Toddy #2

  • 1 1/2 oz Plantation Stiggin’s Fancy Pineapple Dark Rum
  • 6 oz Earl Gray
  • 3/4 Lemon Oleo Sacrum Syrup
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 5 cloves

Pour hot tea into a mug. Add rum and oleo sacrum syrup. Add cinnamon stick and cloves.

Vanilla Old Fashioned

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1/4 oz Amaro Nonino
  • 1/2 oz Vanilla Demerara Gomme Syrup
  • 1 bar spoon full of Luxardo Cherry Syrup
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 Dash Orange Bitters

Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass with a large cube of ice. Garnish with
