Tyler Fitzgerald's Weakness & the Giants Softness

Yep. Tyler Fitzgerald has a weakness and the Giants' weakness might just be that that they're too weak. Our exercise gurus are discussing Runners in Scoring Position and how it has hurt the Giants and why its so pronounced. They also review the departure of Marco Luciano and the arrival of Grant McCray.

In the lightning round Ben gets magnanimous, an impossible choice is made, and Matthew puts the pedal to the metal.

On the cocktail side of things Ben is drinking a Phoenix Doval while Matthew is drinking a Giant Slayer.

Phoenix Doval

  • 2 oz Mezcal
  • 1/2 oz Cherry Heering Liqueur
  • 1/2 oz Ginger Syrup
  • 3/4 oz Lemon-Lime Juice
  • 2-3 Jalapeno coins

Muddle the jalapeno in the ginger syrup in a shaker. Add ice, the mezcal, cherry liqueur and citrus juice to the shaker. Shake until chilled. Double strain into a stemmed cocktail glass. Garnish with 3 Luxardo cherries.

Giant Slayer

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1/4 oz Amaro Nonino
  • 3/4 oz Peach Simple Syrup
  • 2 Dashes Orange Bitters
  • 2 Dashes Peach Bitters

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 30-40 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a peach slice.
