Three All-Star Aces Over a Pair of Victories

It's a boat! The boys break down the Sacthletics, err Vagabonds, err Athletics series and celebrate the Giants trio of All-Stars: Logan Webb, Robbie Ray and Randy Rodriguez.

Our new cocktail podcast, The Perfect Sip, is on hiatus but new episodes are in production. (Yeah, it's taking a long time ... life, you know?) If you haven't listened yet, you can catch up here: https://the-perfect-sip.captivate.fm/listen

Speaking of cocktails, today Ben is drinking a Cherry Ginger Highball while Matthew is drinking a Watermelon Club. Recipes below.

Cherry Ginger Highball

  • 1 1/2 oz Gin
  • 1/2 oz Cherry Liqueur
  • 3-4 oz Ginger Beer
  • Combine gin and cherry liqueur in a highball glass with no ice. Stir well to combine. Fill the glass with ice and top with the ginger beer.

Watermelon Club

  • 2 oz Gin with botanicals
  • 3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz Watermelon Syrup
  • 1/2 oz Lillet Blanc
  • 1 egg white
  • Watermelon chunk for garnish
  • Add all ingredients except the garnish to a cocktail shaker without ice. Shake for 15 seconds. Add ice and shake for another 10-12 seconds until well-chilled. Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a watermelon cube on a pick.
