Commandos in the Fog
It's Happy Hour! In this episode Matthew is going commando while drinking a ... Commando. Good thing this is a podcast! Meanwhile Ben is threatening San Francisco icon Karl with a Fog Cutter. Recipes below.
Fog Cutter
- 2 oz light rum
- 1 oz brandy or congac
- 1/2 oz Gin
- 1 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
- 1/2 oz orgeat syrup
- 1 oz oloroso sherry
Combine all of the ingredients except the sherry in a shaker with ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds and pour entire contents into a Fog Cutter glass or other large glass. Float the sherry on top and garnish with a lemon and brandied cherries.
Commando
- 1 1/2 oz Bourbon
- 3/4 oz Cointreau
- 3/4 oz Lime Juice
- 1/4 oz Simple Syrup
- 1/4 oz Absinthe Rinse
Rinse the inside of a coupe glass with the absinthe and set aside Add all of the other ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake 10-12 seconds. Double strain into the prepared coupe glass.
